Approximately 40 tourists, who had ventured into the forested region for a peaceful vacation, found themselves ambushed by terrorists. What was meant to be a scenic getaway quickly turned into a nightmare. The assailants opened indiscriminate fire, targeting innocent civilians.

Rescue Efforts in the Aftermath of the Pahalgam Shooting

In a related development, another infiltration attempt was foiled near the Line of Control in Baramulla’s Uri Nala sector. Indian Army troops engaged and killed two Pakistani terrorists attempting to cross into Indian territory. A cache of weapons was recovered from them, and exchange of fire in the region is reportedly ongoing.
